This piece embraces the symbolism of the orange, happiness, wrapped around the vase, a symbol of stability. Here we see the beauty of portrayal, while the remains, the truth of the orange, lay bare in the second image, Vulnerability, of the two piece project.
Pūkeko in the Wetlands
This piece is all about embracing New Zealand’s native wildlife. Right after its meal in the swampy terrain, this Pūkeko wandered over to us, giving us a chance to really appreciate its natural colours and striking red eyes.
Solace
In this portrait of a young woman’s eyes, we look at true discovery and self acceptance. As the transgender community continues to speak out, this image speaks to the intimate connection of self when keeping your head held high.
Vulnerability
In the second piece of the two part project, after Codependency, this piece looks at uncovering the raw emotions of intimacy, happiness and self discovery. The peel of the orange sits wrapped around a vase in the first half, while here we see the peeled, vulnerable remains of the orange sitting alone.
